Hi, today I’m
going to talk about the environment and how we care it. In our country the environmentally
friendly practices are not a priority. The
few things that we know about the environmental care, we learn in school or for
publicities in television.
In my house
we divide the recyclable stuff of the others stuff, because in the municipal
district that I live, three days a week pass the recycling truck collecting the
recyclable products. Other thing that I do for the environment is re-use the paper
to print. How you can read my habits include a little stuff of recycling, but by
have to start somewhere. I don’t use car, but because I don’t have a car. Hence
I must use my legs to transport me to any place, except when I go too far. In
that case I use the public transport. This transport is too bad for the
environment.
I do not
belong to any environmental organization, but I do agree with that cause and if
I had more free time, maybe I would join to an eco-organization.
Actually I don’t
have time to do stuffs for the environment, but in some moment of my live I
hope do something to support to care the environment, specifically something
relevant with the ozone layer.
I am not
aware of what can I do to reduce my carbon footprint, but I will investigate
that information. Our society are to far to care the environment.
As you I don't drive a car but I desagree when you say that public transpotation is too bad for the environment. That's because all people don't have cars, so all countries need this kind of systems, so the contamination of these is (in an economical theory way)a constant. The problem is when people who can afford a car stops using this system and start to driving everywhere, using a car just for themselves, increasing the number of cars on the street, the traffic and finally the contamination. Thats why in developed countries still exist this public transportation system, and when they need to reduce the contamination their campaings are orientated to reduce the cars in the city.
