My future job

Hello! In this blog I’m going to talk about my career. I study, like most of you reading this, Public Administration in the University of Chile. Today I’m in my second year. In some moment I must choose a major, I can choose between public policy or political science. Probably I will choose the first option, public policy, because it is useful for what I do in the future. I want to do something to making better the life of the people in Chile, especially for the people more poor, I want to do something to improve the quality of life of people.
I’d like to get a job in a ministry, like the ministry of social development, economy or something like that. Also I’d like to get a job in a municipality, because in that sector of the public administration I can be closer to the people and know their needs. I wouldn't like work in an international organism, because I feel that in that area we moves away from the real needs of the people of our country. Something similar happens with the public companies, places where is necessary a public administrator, but I don’t like work in that area.
When I have to choose a job in the future, I will consider some aspects, principally which meets my expectations related with what I like. Also is important the work atmosphere. Is important have a good team of work to make a good work.
If I must talk about my strengths and weaknesses, I can say that I am a persevering person, a constant person at work, an empathic and nice person. Something bad of me is that I am a very proud and stubborn person.

The environment

Hi, today I’m going to talk about the environment and how we care it. In our country the environmentally friendly practices are not a priority.  The few things that we know about the environmental care, we learn in school or for publicities in television.
In my house we divide the recyclable stuff of the others stuff, because in the municipal district that I live, three days a week pass the recycling truck collecting the recyclable products. Other thing that I do for the environment is re-use the paper to print. How you can read my habits include a little stuff of recycling, but by have to start somewhere. I don’t use car, but because I don’t have a car. Hence I must use my legs to transport me to any place, except when I go too far. In that case I use the public transport. This transport is too bad for the environment.
I do not belong to any environmental organization, but I do agree with that cause and if I had more free time, maybe I would join to an eco-organization.
Actually I don’t have time to do stuffs for the environment, but in some moment of my live I hope do something to support to care the environment, specifically something relevant with the ozone layer.
I am not aware of what can I do to reduce my carbon footprint, but I will investigate that information. Our society are to far to care the environment.

Sports

Hello, today I’m going to talk about sports and health. I like sports in general, but now I don’t practice any sport. However when I was younger, I practiced figure skating. I did that sport for six years, from six years to twelve years. I trained in the team of University of Chile and once I won first place in my category. When I practiced this beautiful I trained four times a week and sometimes up to five times a week.
How I say before, now I don’t practice any sports, but I like watch football and others sports, like artistic gymnastic. I watch sports on television. I am not a fan of sports, but something I can’t stop watching each four years are the Olympic Games. I love see that.
One disadvantage of practice figure skating are the injuries. For practice this sport I have a lot of chronics injuries, like sprains in my two ankles and an injury in the coccyx. Sports in general involve benefits for the people, the health and body. Sports make happier people.
I watch sports in my house or in pubs or restaurants, with my friends or with my family. With my family we do barbeque to see sports.
Bye!

A COUNTRY I'D LIKE TO VISIT

Today I’m going to talk about the country that I’d most like to go. This country is Germany. I chose this country because I have always wanted to travel there.  That since I was 13 years old, because when I had that age I began to study German in the school. In that subject my teacher showed and told us about this country, their cities and traditional stuffs. With all the things that my teacher said to me I've always had in mind know Germany.
Germany had very different and interesting places to visits. Something that if I go surely will visit, will be the awesome castles. If you don’t know in Germany are a lot of old castles in different cities. Beside the castles, in Germany are also many traditional churches it’s really worth the trip.
These are historical sites to visit, but there is much more in Germany, like the food. Germany has a very wide variety of sausages. If I go to Germany, I intend to try them all. Beside the sausages I would try all the varieties of bear.
I don’t want study or live there, for now I just want go on vacation. I hope someday make travel to Germany and do all these things.

My story

I have been a scout girl for eight years. Throughout the year I have been advancing to become in chief of the company. The company is the unit where are the girls from eleven to sixteen years.
With my scout group we went camping last summer in southern Chile for ten days. The first three days we felt strange noises and the fifth day a wild animal that could not identify began to appear on the site in the night. (At that time we did not know that the noises were produced by an animal). That situation was repeated for two or three days… I don’t remember that. The thing is that when we wake up in the morning and woke up, all the food was distributed across the floor, rather leftover food.
The heads frightened by this situation decided to take turns at night to monitor and take care that nothing happened. I was really scared about having to stay in the night watching without knowing that I could find, but I did anyway because is my responsibility protect and care the children in my care, because their parents trust us. My turns that night was the third turn, from two in the morning until 5 in the morning, and touch me with a woman and a man more. The truth is that we were all scared. The first hour was pretty quiet and did not hear, see or feel anything. But with the passage of time and the night, we began to feel noises. Then we get scared much more and each one took a stick to defend ourselves in case of anything. We don’t know what could be causing these strange sounds.
After some time listening to those noises and not knowing what was happening was, appeared a silhouette of any living being that we can’t decipher at the time (later we discover that it was). We don’t know how to react and only we were quiet waiting. The silhouette began to approach us, to come closer and closer, until we were face to face with her. In that moment we discover or believe that what was that. The silhouette was a very big. Strange and unknown animal… We were doing a discovery. When the animal came so close to us, we almost peed in fear, but we kept strong and courageous. The animal tried to attack and we defended ourselves with great courage, we attack the unknown beast. Came a time when we could not do anything and the only option we had was to run. We ran as fast as we could to find more help. We plan an operation to defend us from the animal (more than an animal was a beast). We seek sticks, knives and anything that we serve to defend us. Together we went in search of the beast and between all we attack. Was a very difficult situation and several people were injured, but finally we did it, we could kill that beast, animal or whatever. After such a strange situation, camp finished good shape, as far as possible.

I recommend you visiting Pucón

Dear friend
I recommend you visiting Pucón on your vacations. This beautiful place is located in the south of Chile, in the Araucanía region.
You can get there by plane or bus, but if you prefer travel in plane, you must travel only in summer, because in others seasons are not flights over there. If you want to spend little money, I recommend you travel in bus, but not direct. You should travel to Temuco and after take a bus to Pucón. That way you will have a more economical trip.
In Pucón you have a lot of things to do and a lot of places to visit. You can visit the Villarrica Volcano and go up until the cusp. Also you can take a trekking to water’s jump, for after take a bath in the cascade. Also you can go to Caburga Lake and swimming. In the night for fun, you can go to a disco or play in the casino.
As you can see, Pucón is a great place to visit in your holidays. If you go, you will not regret!

The best place I've ever stayed.

The best place I've stayed was Bahia Inglesa, a little town near Caldera in the third region of Chile. This place has a short beach (500 meters wide) with little and slow wave, very transparent and colour turquoise.
I've been there on several occasions, but today I’m going speak only of the last time. I did more than any time; because that was the last time I would go.
I slept in my father’s house, who lived in that moment in a condominium with a park and a swimming pool.
We went to the restaurant El Coral de Bahía to eat raw rock fish (ceviche). It was very delicious, the best I have ever eaten.
Another day we was to near hill to saw fossil of whales, giant oysters and others sea foods. Was a moment of inspiration.
Besides those things that we do together, we went to the beach almost all the days. We swam in that beautiful and nearly Caribbean sea.
I love go to Bahia Inglesa, because is a quiet place, where I can relax and rest.
After that, my dad moved house and now he lives in Copiapó. It is close but is not the same.

My last semester

Hello friends, been a long time without writing here. In this opportunity I want to tell you about my last semester. In that semester I had six subjects: microeconomics, statistics applied, administrative theory, administrative law, Science theory and English III. Of these subjects I passed almost all, I flunked just one: administrative law.
I don't practice any sport or similar in that period, but I dedicated a lot of my time to a politic activities and to comply my responsibilities as representative of my generation and as school spokeswoman.
I had a few problems or challenges in that period, mainly related with the time and with compatible all my activities and responsibilities. Other problem that I have was the fact of failing a subject.
On the last time I lived a sad situation. My father lives in Copiapó and for the short time I had, I could not travel to see him. I have not seen my father in a long time.
This is all I can tell from my last semester.
See you!

American Pie, the reunion

Hi, today I'm going to talk about a movie, a very great movie, I don't know if this movie is my favorite, but I like very much. This movie is American Pie: the reunion. In this movie acts five men called Jason Biggs, Chris Klein, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Eddie Kaye Thomas and Seann William Scott, and in the movie they called Jim, Oz, Kevin, Finch and Stifler respectively.
This movie is a sequel of a serial of movies, specifically the eighth movie. This movie is about a five men. They were at college together and twelve years after graduating high school they meet in a reunion of their class. The entire movie we can see the situations that this five friends lives with his families in this reunion.
The story takes place in a small town of United States where is located the high school East Great Falls.
My favorite part is when the protagonist group fight whit a rival group of when they are young.

If you don't see this movie steel, see it! I can assure you will have fun.

Gladys Marin

Hello, today I will talk about a very important person for me. Her name is Gladys Marin.
Gladys was borne in 1941 in Curepto, Chile and she was a professor and a politician.
She was an important communist and she became president and Secretary-General of the
Chilean Communist Party and Secretary-General of the communist youth of Chile. As well as all that, she was Member of Parliament in three periods. She died in 2005 because of a cerebral tumor.
She did a lot of important things for the people, for example, she worked with the settlers of Santiago, participating too in seizures that later became in suburbs. She participate in the youth command of Salvador Allende for his presidential campaign. She leaded a student movement under the slogan of "University Reform". Gladys was exiled and in that time she travel around the world denouncing all the crimes of the dictatorship.
She was an amazing person and I like her because she was a tireless fighter for the construction of a left movement alternative to the neoliberalism. She fighter for a real democracy and social justice for the Chilean people.
I hope you can know more about Gladys Marin.

An incredible photograph

Hi, today I want to talk about the photographs, specifically about the photographs that mark moments or stages. I will speak about a special photograph for me. I don`t know who took this picture, because a lot of people took photographs that day.
The day that I am talking about, it is the 21st of May, and the picture was taken in the traditional march done to show the discontent with the presidential announcement.
This picture shows a part of this march, specifically the column of the communist youth in the precise moment when the police suppressed us with excessive force. I was in this part of the march.
I like this picture because of many reasons, because it shows an incredible moment and it was taken in a precise moment. Apart from that, this photograph is important to me because I was present in that place in that moment, because I lived that moment with my comrades.
I hope you like this picture!

A surprising piece of news!

Hi, today I want to talk about a piece of news happened yesterday, this is a surprising news. A Peruvian woman stole a two days new born baby from the "San Borja" hospital. Besides the kidnapping was surprising and shocking the fact that any woman or person can go in to the hospital, stay in for 2 hours and steal a baby without one person noticing that situation. Many people were involved in this piece of news, the woman who stole the baby, the baby and the mother and father of this baby. These persons are the protagonists of this event, but besides they are involved and are responsible for that, all the hospital staff.
This piece of news affected to all my country, because was proof and shows one of the big fault in the public health system. A system with a very bad security system and a even more bad attention.
I am very happy to have heard today in the morning what the little baby was find and the kidnapper is now under arrested. Outside this, I want like hear good news, without kidnapping, robbery, mainly without so many misfortunes. Too i want hear that the health system in Chile is a good system, specially the public system. I want hear that the public system have a good security, a good attention, a qualified personal, etc.

My best friend

Hello, today I want to talk about my friends, specifically about my best friend. Her name is Tamara, she is 20 years old and she's studying social work.

We met in 2005 when I began to be scout in the school and from then we are really good friends. She is very good at listening to my problems and to give me advice... she always gives good advice.

Apart from that we have a lot of things and subjects in common, and because of that we can be talking for a lot of hours. I don`t have just one best memory about her, because we have lived very much moments together. We have a tradition: every summers after go to camp, we to get together for a complete week or more. I remember one time when we and other 3 friends more remained all the week of national festivities vacation together in the house of one of them.

We get together to talk for hours and eat a lot of food, as well we go sometimes to parties or a pub to drink something.

She is my best friend!

Calle 13

CALLE 13

Hello, in this publication i'm going to talk about my favorite band, this is "Calle 13". They are a Puerto Rican band composed mainly of 3 members: residente, visitante and pg-13, and also for the musician. The band was born in 2005 and by the end of this year they released their first album. They have in total 4 discs called "Calle 13", "Residente o Visitante", "Los de atras vienen conmigo" and "Entren los que quieran", and they have wan 10 Latin Grammy, 2 Grammy, 1 Latin Billboard and 2 Mtv award. They play a type of music called urban music, although some people say that it is reggaeton. This band like me because their songs mix together a social criticism with a different sound and a good rhythm. My favorite song is "Ven y critícame" because this lyric represents me (Ven y Critícame). I hope you like this!
